"This was our (family of four age 9 and 11 kids) first Ryokan experience. It was incredible. We loved the authentic Japanese feel. It was an adventure getting there on a boat and we rented bikes next door for a beautiful all day ride. It’s a great spot to ride from in the middle of the Kaido. If you want a traditional, relaxing stay—book this! We hope to return. (We did 2 rooms with 2 people each because the bedrooms are smallish.)"

"When is a resort not a resort? In this case, when it doesn't provide any facilities outside the room. There's a rooftop bar in summer but nothing at other times.
