Loge has been our go-to motel when we want to break up the drive from Oregon to California. The room is dark with no overhead lights and the shower is tiny but it's always been priced well and we've liked the overall location and vibe. However, I think this stay will be our last. They've added a $25 "resort" fee to borrow equipment but this makes no sense when you're just stopping for 12 hours to sleep. So now the price is comparable to the Best Western and that's where we'll stay on our way back this week.

The LOGE is a fun, outdoor themed, dog friendly place with nice grounds and close proximity to the freeway. I loved that it was just far enough off the main road that it was calm and quiet. Our room had two very comfortable beds and was very spacious. Overall, I'd recommend, especially with pets. I had two minor issues with our room, one was the heater/air unit. It was very loud. The other was the fact that the tub/shower room was in a bit of disrepair. The tub seemed rusty/stained, the trim around the tub was coming off and there was a hole in the ceiling where a fan/light should've been.

I love staying in Mt. Shasta, and LOGE provided the perfect vibe for this trip. I especially loved the little cafe and the fireplace outside.

Personally I will never return to this property, at check in time my room code did not work and I tried to go to the office which was “closed early” and when I called they answered the first time and after I got no answer. Ended up waiting outside my room for 17 minutes with my 5 year old. After that they have what you call a “resort fee” which allows you to check out a bike or snow shoes or anything similar- well since they closed early there was no one to allow me to check out any of the items so I paid 25 for nothing because they decided to close early that day. No refund for the resort fee for the day we couldn’t use anything. So very disappointing to pay for something I do not get to use.
