"Mountain River Lodge was a beautiful and cozy stay for my partner and I after having done the Icefields Parkway drive. The drive from Jasper to Mountain River Lodge was also beautiful and we saw a juvenile grizzly and a black bear along the road on our way in. "We really didn't enjoy our experience. We rented a cabin. The picture of the cabin was taken in a way as to not see the large highway which passes very close to both cabins. Do not stay here if you want peace and quiet. This is impossible due to the location and the many cars and trucks who pass all day and all night. Inside the cabin it was in poor condition. Very dark, very minimal, and no insulation from noise. I'd recommend staying in Tête Jaune Cache or somewhere a bit quieter with...

"The place was cold , the lodge area had many caravans and old vehicles parked on site and looked unappealing. The sheets were tried looking and the sofa sheets was slightly dirty. There was no reception and the owner came later to thd room to take the credit card. I was slightly concerned to hand my card. The place is too far from shops and restaurants. It is isolated and without a car one cannot reach this place."
