Staff was non existent.. no bar, no food.. no one ever at the front desk. Hotel is in the middle of a shopping mall.. would never stay there again

Enjoyable stay for the most part. Location is great at Town It would have been great to have an outdoor pool! Also, the bar should be open on weekend mornings so patrons can have an adult beverage with breakfast ☺️ Also, an evening “happy hour “ with light bites.

Bar tender was new but amazing. Room had a slight smell of wet dog but a little spray abd it was fine. Staff was amazing. Every Hyatt we stayed in on our road trip and all were get.

This hotel is awful. First of all, they removed a reservation for someone in my party who had already checked in adn been staying there .... there is no housekeeping, the shower was terrible and it was very very loud. Would not recommend at all.

We went to check in at 3:15 and the room was”not ready “ at 3:20 I was told by an extremely rude girl at the front desk our room was already booked and blamed it on Expidia. We had to be re assigned to a Best Western because there were no other rooms available at the Hyat ( I so not think this was true. The front desk girl was also rude to two different customers while we were waiting on a manager 😡I’m going to file a formal report with consumer affairs. I definitely would not recommend this company.

Had free breakfast didn't like checkin being on 2nd floor leaving first floor questionable about who may enter the property suspiciouly. No real security staff on property.

Thank you for your concern. The first floor is monitored with cameras that are reflected at the front desk and at 11pm the doors are locked and controlled by the front desk for security purposes. Only room keys will allow the first floor doors to open when they are locked. I hope this addresses your concerns. Thanks for staying with us.

Great place to get a good nights sleep and centrally located for the airport and activities. The breakfast was good but was never stocked adequately. Always had to ask for food items and worst of all for coffee.

Recommend the Hyatt Place in Mt. pleasant.
Our stay at the Hyatt Place in Mt. Pleasant was fantastic! We were in town for a soccer tournament but we chose to stay at the Hyatt Place instead of with the team at a different hotel. Our stay was cheaper plus it included a nice breakfast, the convenience of the shops in Towne Center and we were able to bring our dog. The hotel did seem to be a little understaffed but those that we met were very friendly and helpful. We definitely recommend this hotel.

Terrible parking situation. No warning the elevator is out. Difficult to walk down 3 flights of stairs in a knee brace w/luggage and it was 27 degrees out. Then hotel 1st floor reeks of chlorine - first thing you smell when you walk in on 1st floor. No clear signs stating yo take elevator to 2nd floor to find Checkin desk. And Checkin desk is not visible from elevator. Room was clean and decorated nice. Comfy bed and over side pillows. Breakfast was absolute terrible. Waffles were hard as rocks and no butter or syrup out. Powdered eggs and undercooked sausage. Some rock hard mixture supposedly "grits". So hard couldn't even stir the spoon in the pot. I also felt terrible for the military personnel that was being forced to eat that horrible breakfast. Everywhere in that hotel they have sign's advertising "thoughtfully sourced" food. There was no thought, care or regard put into that food. I've stayed at lower tiered hotels that served a helluva better job. Staff not very friendly either. I didn't bother complaining because I didn't think they would care. They had to be one of the worst experiences that I've ever had at a Hyatt Hotel. I've stayed at four different hotels this week and I'll tell you guys did the worst job with hospitality, check in process, inconvenient parking, terrible food, etc. As a business traveler, I'm very disappointed. I have at least 4 more trips this quarter and 2 more next quarter.

Included breakfast was absolutely disappointing, not enough variety, food was burned/overcooked, fruit, eggs etc all looked like were taken from a can and put in display or heated up in the microwave. Otherwise the hotel is nice but do not plan on eating there

Could hear people talking and yelling, not just in the adjacent room but also outside the hotel until after 11 pm. At 7:30 am, the cleaning crew outside our rooms were loud talking and another guest asked them to be quiet.

We spend the Christmas holidays here almost every year because they are pet friendly and a quick drive to my mother-in-law on Isle Of Palms. We love the shopping and the parking is very convenient. It used to be a great hotel, but this year was disappointing. The room was cleaned only every other day, the sheets and blankets for the fold out bed were full of holes, and the breakfast food was not as good as years past. Husband was really sad there was no bacon. And there was a horribly annoying overly chatty guy in charge of the breakfast area. He told long winded stories to any moving being and never had coffee in the coffee urn. We were there for 5 days and he made us crazy. When I interrupted his non-stop chatting at people who were trying to eat to ask him for the coffee urn to be refilled, instead of fixing it he announced to the whole area that I was lying about there being no coffee because the decaf urn was actually full of regular coffee! My husband had a similar no coffee experience a few days later and we think he honestly doesn't know how to make more coffee. Chat chat chat, he needs to shut his yammering and make coffee. Sheesh. At least if I stay at my mother in law's next year I can get coffee while being annoyed. And the poor gal at check-in looked like she would rather be dead than at her job. Maybe because she couldn't escape this guy's yammering either.
