"The hotel was in a great location but thats the best I can say about it. The hotel seemed dingy, the pool was not very clean, and the room was atrocious. There was water damage throught the bathroom. The door looked like a cheese grater had been taken to it. The same grayer must have been used in the shower because it had rust all over the shower floor in a weird pattern, and to top it off, we entered the bathroom to find a massive cockroach crawling around on the sink top! The front desk staff did quickly call and get our refund approved so that was a plus I guess. Overall 1 out of 10, definitely would not recommend."

"$40 for 24 hours with valet in / out was well worth what we needed. Excellent location - most gracious hotel reception staff. Allowed us to enter early for our 24 hour stay. Delightful lady ( Isadella?) Very comfortable accommodations with nice touches in hotel — sounds simple but is always nice to see - eg water in fridge, correct channel guide for tv, hot water!"

"The breakfast was horrible-nothing was operational, even the juice and the pancake makers were broken! Grits wasn’t even cooked, oatmeal was a nasty lump…nothing was right, and the hotel was packed with hungry people. We all should’ve gotten money credited back because of it"
Harborside at Charleston Harbor Resort and Marina

"This property and location are amazing! My family loved it, and we will definitely be back. For those who like all the details, the décor is a little dated, and some areas of the rooms show wear and tear from the years. Our bathroom pocket door did not close all the way, and the bathroom itself was just average. None of that bothered us, though. The beds were comfortable, and the sheets and towels were very clean, which is what matters most to us. The balcony is a must-have, and the harbor view was spectacular. The Reef Bar is older and has a musty smell, likely from years of being right on the harbor, which is probably unavoidable. That said, the staff was amazing, and the food was excellent. My teenage girls loved the hand-battered chicken tenders, homemade chips, and ranch. The pizza was also very good—top-notch bar food. The complimentary coffee machine was delicious, honestly better than Starbucks. We also loved the free s’mores kits available at the front desk. Just ask, and they’ll provide everything you need. Staff will even light the beautiful harbor-side fire pits. The water taxi was a fun adventure to historic downtown. We highly recommend Ruby’s for brunch, it looks closed from the outside, but it isn’t! The pool was our favorite part of the property, with great chairs, a tiki bar, and beautiful views. For dinner, Shem Creek is only minutes away and offers even more stunning waterfront scenery. Overall, if a little cosmetic issues dont bother you, its amazing"

"The staff is available for questions. Location is convenient to Charleston and easy access to every place including a water taxi. Breakfast is great and the lady on duty is very attentive and helpful! My third time here and it never disappoints! Thank you for a wonderful stay!"
