"This a star property and a must stay location if you're traveling in the area. The place is magnificent and beautifully updated to modern conveniences while maintaining the great charm of the historical castle and grounds."

"Excellent hotel. The whole reception and general public areas were spotlessly clean and welcoming. Evening meal was delicious. The breakfast was plentiful and very tasty. I will happily stay here again. The only negative comment (and it's not really a negative) is that there is no pool. Overall a very pleasant stay. "

"We had a very pleasant overnight stay at Plantation Lodge, nothing was too much trouble for the host, they were most accommodating to our changing plans. Our bedroom and bathroom were spotless and the breakfast options were plentiful and varied. "

"A great place to relax and get away from it all. We love the outdoor infinity pool, the hubby loves the steam room, dry sauna and the other facilities in the thermal suite. I have had spa treatments in the past, but didn't partake this time. Only draw back - robes and slippers are not for the larger person - XL robe is about a UK size 14, slippers not over size 8 - but knowing this, we bring our own."
