One of my favourite stays in New Zealand - we booked the chalet for a family of 4 and it was perfect. Quirky upside down house, in a stunning lakeside location. Not the most fancy place but had everything we needed - good cooking facilities etc. great value for money

Nice old-school holiday park with everything you would need, and a short walk from restaurants in the centre of town. We were particularly impressed with the staff, who were very understanding when we lost our key, and didn’t charge for a replacement. To top that we left an item in the room, and Jodi kindly had it couriered to another of our ongoing hotels. Great service!

Very nice place. Easy to walk to the Main Street with restaurants. Room was smallish but clean, nice and comfortable. Nice seating area with a sofa which is a good touch.
Staff were very helpful and friendly.
Nice and quiet, no noise from neighbours.
Free parking outside your room.

We had a Studio with a comfortable bed, a small sofa and small table with two (not particularly comfortable) chairs. Enough room not to trip over suitcases and other bags.
The kitchenette was perfectly good: a fridge with freezer compartment, toaster, kettle, large electric frying pan, microwave and two ring electric hob - great for basic meals.
The en suite shower and toilet room was fine - plenty of hot water.
Parking right outside.
A couple of chairs to sit on the small deck outside.

Excellent location, right by the departure points for various excursions and activities, with a view onto the lake.
Kerri was extremely helpful with suggestions for food and activities, all of which we used and were excellent.

A great stop of on our travels, We would definitely return to Shakespeare house! The hosts are extremely friendly & welcoming, and were able to accommodate our slightly later check-in time without a hitch.
Highly recommended!

This was a basic cabin, which was set up with a double and single bed. Would have been a really good value option for a small family. For one person was slightly less of a value option. Felt like a cross between a camping holiday and a cabin as the shower block was communal (seperate facilities for ladies and men though). Kept beautifully clean.
They provided towels and cooking/ eating utiensils if you asked at reception. Would have been a good idea to mention that on check in as you had to...

Hotel was really well located on the lakefront a very short walk from the centre. The room we had was massive (villa style) with a separate living room, this was really handy as this gave us room to repack our luggage for the second part of our trip. Te Anau itself is nice, I'd recommend Habit and Black dog for food.

Stayed here 3 nights to explore Fjiordland. The motel was ideally located and easy to find. Clean, Spacious and comfortable room with laundry facilities which we made full use of. The staff were extremely helpful and assisted us with booking a trip to Doubtful Sound. The hotel itself was a 5 minute walk to the centre of town.
