"This outstanding property is stretched over acres of beautiful countryside at the bottom of the Etna volcano. It is part of the Relais Châteaux collection, so you can expect 5 star service and amenities. Rooms and suites are spread across the property, in the middle of vineyards, lemon trees etc. The views are breathtaking, the staff is extremely helpful, nice and professional. A small downside is the under equipped gym which deserves an upgrade. I truly recommend this property weather as a starting point to the wonders I this region, or just for a calm and relaxing day in the Sicily countryside."

"We spent a wonderful week this March at Podere dell’Etna Segreta, and the experience was truly unforgettable. Even with a touch of winter still in the landscape, the beauty and tranquillity of the estate are felt the moment you pass through the gate and approach the main house. Each room has its own fireplace, with wood thoughtfully provided, adding warmth and charm to the peaceful setting. Above the estate, Etna in Bianco dominates the sky, while the view from the villa’s terrace offers a breathtaking panorama of the landscape below. What makes the place truly special is the care and passion of the Grasso family and their dedicated team, who make you feel more like a guest of the family than a visitor. The chef’s creations are exceptional, making every meal a memorable experience, with new dishes already being meticulously planned for the summer season. "This is an oasis of quiet. An old farmhouse, beautifully appointed. They will make dinner and breakfast for you. There is a lovely restaurant-bar area. You can walk a little ways in the woods. There is a pool. It was a relief to spend two nights here away from the cities. The mt etna park is just 23km away. Perfect!"

"The location is amazing. The property has great views over the vineyards in both directions towards Mt. Etna to the North and the Ionian sea and across to the Italian mainland to the South. The pool area is nice but could get a little busy and difficult to snag a sunbed. Our room was ok. It is a 3 star hotel but even so it was a little more rustic and functional rather than luxurious but it was clean and quiet, and the air-con worked well… unfortunately the same could not be said for the in-room wifi and when we mentioned this it was dismissed by reception as something “that happens” and was never fixed. We didn’t feel like driving at night and so ate at the restaurant both nights of our stay. The food was good but we made the mistake of over-ordering on the first night as we didn’t quite understand the “set menu”. It has to be said that the second night was like a different restaurant, same good food but it was much friendlier and there were more staff working who were far more interactive with us as guests. We were touring Sicily for 2 weeks and chose to stay here as it’s a winery and who wouldn’t want to stay at a vineyard on Mount Etna? In terms of setting it delivers on that romantic ideal but we really felt that it was lacking in terms of hospitality. Unlike everywhere else we stayed in Sicily this hotel was not particularly welcoming and we felt mostly like we were an inconvenience to the staff rather than paying guests. "
