"Not a lot of choice in Mount Cook Village but the Alpine Lodge is clean and well equipped and so well placed . The walls are a bit thin but everyone without exception respected this fact so it wasn’t a problem . The staff are helpful and parking is relatively easy either at the front in the evening or at the back during the day . The views of Mount Cook from the communal area and the upper bedrooms at the front are perfect . Nice to sit with you coffee looking at the mountains . Everything else...

"A marvelous hotel! Comfortable, even luxurious, and close to town without being caught up in the hustle and bustle of New Year’s Eve. Lounge area is very nice and breakfast was good. Only issue at all was that the WiFi connection was at best inconsistent, but for us that was a very small matter! A great stay!"

"What an incredible place to stay. AJ and Roz saved a little old church and turned it into a one-of-a-kind place to stay. There is so much natural light. The bed and furniture are so comfy and you have a view of the mountain through the massive back window. Lots of thought and care have gone into providing little touches that make this a wonderful place to stay."
