For the price you pay we would expect a little bit more service and overall quality. The rooms are very simple and things in kitchen not working properly. The area is very remote and facilities poor compared to all the other places we stayed at around lofoten.

They put us in the hotel because there was a mistake with our hostel booking. This meant we did not have access to much of the things we supposed to such as a kitchen and laundry as it said in the listing. They also claimed to have a shuttle you could book to the ferry and they did not. The staff was all very nice but overall what we paid for was not what we got.

The place was out of this world. It really is a change from our reality back home in Quebec. Couldn’t ask for a cleaner place and well equiped kitchen... Only downside was that the restaurant was opening too late in the morning, since we had to leave early.

Ci siamo trovate bene, è stato un soggiorno tranquillo, ma per il prezzo ci saremmo aspettate di più per quanto riguarda i servizi. Pulizia nella media, stanze non insonorizzate, cucina leggermente sporca (mentre i bagni erano molto puliti). Personale abbastanza cortese.

Väldigt fräscht och charmigt trots ”hostel” med delade toa och dusch. Tyst och lugnt, restaurangen hade god mat, trevligt område och trevlig personal.

Troede jeg havde bestilt en rorbu, men vi fik et meget lille værelse med meget smalle senge uden eget bad og køkken. I et stort hus med mange værelser og meeeeget lydt. Et vandrehjem.

einzigartig war nur die Lage - alles andere war wie in einer Jugendherberge- Stockbetten-Gemeinschaftstoiletten- kein Internet etc.

Salteriet actually is a hostel establishment and this is disclosed on all booking platforms, alongside with actual pictures of the rooms and shared amenities. Maybe you were confused during the booking process but I assure you we do not advertise anything that is not true. I also investigated the internet issue but we had no wifi malfunction during the time of your stay. I am sorry if you expected a different type of service than what we offer. Hostel
Salteriet is a Hostel. Stayed three nights, no cleaning or new towels. Some staff speak no Norwegian and little English. Nice expencive restaurant open five days a week, not open for breakfast. Some noise from fishingactivity during night. Interesting beautiful place with lot of history. Beautiful scenery, great fishing

Beautiful place in Lofoten in Moskenes area!
I arrived late and found the key to my room. I was pleasantly surprised in the big and modern room. It is should a lovely place and I will come again in summer time to take advantage of the beautiful surroundings.

Å är en plats längst ut på Lofoten. Den ligger nära färjeläget i Moskenes, där färjan går till Bodö. Salteriet är en bra anläggning med rorbuer, motell och vandrarhem. Finns även restaurang och café. Vi bodde på vandrarhemmet eftersom vi skulle med färjan påföljande morgon. Där fanns ett gemensamt kök och ett stort vardagsrum med panoramautsikt över berg och vatten. Fina omgivningar som inbjöd till promenader.

Trivelig plass i Å
Salteriet ligger fint til midt blant rorbuer, rett ved en lokal restaurant, og sentrum av Å rett ved. Det var noe utfordrende å finne resepsjonen, da den lå i sentrum mens kartet viste oss direkte til salteriet, kunne med fordel vært en liten lapp på salteriets inngangsdør om hvor resepsjonen lå. Noe slitne lokaler, men rent og trivelig. Helt nyoppussede og flotte bad, som gjorde at det å dele bad med andre føltes helt fint! Alt i alt et hyggelig sted å bo i Å! :) anbefaler å besøke tørrfiskmuseet hvis man er i nærheten!

Ingen smittetiltak tross felleskjøkken &fellestoa
For kr 1100 pr natt uten frokost kunne det ha vært litt antibac på felleskjøkken og i entre og et oppslag om covid 19. Ingen Smittetiltak overhodet på fellesrom, felleskjøkken eller fellestoalett. På rommet var nesten ikke utsyn i vindu, sengene hadde 3 av 8 bein løse, såpe i dispenser og lyspære i nattlampa manglet, og rom 3 borde ha hatt branntaug (krok fantes). Rent var det på rom, og det var fine nye toalett tom med klesvaskemaskin, og kjøkken var fint utstyrt.
