Hotel is beautiful - views across the vineyards from infinity pool are stunning. Rooms are very well appointed, great bathrooms and free minibar a nice touch.
However - only negative point - the service was *excellent* by the staff - I cannot fault the effort by the people working there ... BUT - they felt understaffed across hotel. 1 poor guy/girl working pool service for 16-20 people on beds. 1-2 boys or girls on front desk with no porters to help luggage so they have to do that. Boathouse Resort was great. Friendly reception staff. Very comfortable, spacious room with a fantastic spa bath. Kitchen area was a bit small - not much space to do anything once the kettle, coffee maker and toaster were all out, but it’s manageable. Only real negative point was the WiFi - not great.

The apartment was really very nice. It was clean, spacious and bright. It's about as well placed for local amenities as you're likely to get in Rye. There were numerous restaurants, bars and cafes within a few minutes walk. I would certainly recommend it to anyone looking for somewhere to stay in the locality. My only dislike was the car parking can feel quite tight when it's busy as it is underneath the building
