What a fabulous hotel in an unforgettable location. We had a suite with all the little extras at a very reasonable price. So memorable. We hope to return in the future.

Very friendly staff

Clean, comfortable and friendly. Lack of room amenities lets it down somewhat, no fridge or kettle, but that a minor thing and is outweighed by the location, village and views.

Comfortable hotel with plenty of parking outside. Our room also had a lovely big terrace. One point to note is that (probably because we were staying out of the peak period?) the in-house restaurant was closed for the Sunday night. There seemed only one restaurant open that night in Castellote, which is situated on the outskirts of town, but within walking distance, at the bowling alley. We therefore still managed to get an enjoyable meal.

A well sized room with balcony. Ample parking. Nice breakfast for only €7.

Great little hostel, will definitely return.

Beautiful setting, very quite and peaceful place to stay. All the staff are very friendly and helpful. The restraint is excellent and the rooms are spacious and well appointed.

The hotel was stunning. The hotel is in the middle of the Silent Route which is stunning. I arrived by motorbike -there was a secure garage for the motorbike. Diana was excellent on reception. The hotel is a converted warehouse. It feels like no expense has been spared when it was redeveloped. It is excellent in every respect. The rooms are excellent. It had a good gym and the menu del dia in the evening was excellent. As were the two waitresses – I didn’t catch their names but one was...

We were pleasantly suprised by this accommodation. After booking I saw a few negative reviews and started to think we had made a mistake booking it but we loved it. The bubbles were modern, clean, had everything you needed including ac (lots of reviews said it didn’t have ac but it did and it worked really well). The host was very friendly despite the language barrier and could tell he was a hard worker. Jacuzzi bath worked well and was clean and we saw so many shooting stars when we stay in it...

Situation

Very nice place, hosts were attentive, level of cleanliness very good, would certainly stay here again, when I am next working in the area

La Grancha is a hotel in rural La Fresneda. The owners are lovely and welcoming. They speak little English so take a phrase book. The menu is in Spanish, we got help in translating from a fellow guest. The hotel is wonderfully rustic in this beautiful village.
