"Our room was okay, but the ac/fan was not working (I’ll hand it to the staff they did get it fixed quite quickly). The hotel is under renovations but our ceiling was half painted, there was part of the ceiling in the bathroom that was cracked and slightly open (hole). The front desk staff were kind enough but could be short with us (we had issues with our flights/delays/check in and delayed baggage) so trying to speak to someone and checking with them regarding the arrival of luggage was tangly at times. There were many renovations happening outside our room throughout our stay that we were not made aware of until we awoke to loud banging and the smell of paint in our room/hallway."

"The room was clean and had a fresh smell. The bed was amazing and I felt as though I was sleeping on a cloud. I stayed in room 1073 and it had 2 double beds, a single sofa, a table and a chair. The bathroom was small and tidy, with the essentials available. There was a mini fridge, coffee maker, and water provided. The staff was really friendly and I felt welcome. I did not get a chance to try the onsite restaurant as I arrived while it was closed. I did not try the breakfast in the morning since I left early. All in all it was a good stay for the 6 hours I was there. "

"It was ok and I took it because I needed something cheap and same day. The room was like a sauna and no way to switch on AC in winter. Made do. "

"Check in was really good, Abby was great. Unfortunately there was freezing rain the following day, nearly fell in front of the Hotel. The entire sidewalk was ice. I spoke to a young man on the phone at the front desk, i asked him to put salt down, told him i nearly fell. His response was "the city of montreal is responsible for putting down salt"..i was stunned by his lack of empathy. Later in the evening i phoned the front desk asked to speak with their manager, Mathilde spoke with me. After telling her about my concerns for my safety she said she was sorry but that the city is responsible for salting the sidewalk, that the Hotel was not responsible for weather conditions. I told her that i simply wanted to know if the Hotel would be salting the sidewalk, so i could safely get into an uber the next day...she said yes. The next morning there was salt covering most,not all of the sidewalk. This was very disturbing to me. Honesty I thought being a guest that my safety would mean something. I have stayed at the Monville many many times. I do not think i will be going back. "

"Nice hotel, good breakfast. Good number of restaurants within walking distance The Notre Dame Cathedral is just a quick 10 min walk. "
