Hotel Abrego
The good: Staff was friendly. Place was very clean. Good proximity to tourist attractions. The bad: Some frustration with magnetic key cards. And room noise level not great. They really need better sound proofing. You can hear all the rooms around you.

Arbor Inn Monterey
I have stayed here several times it is always a good experience. Clean usually quiet. Staff are very friendly and get you checked in quickly. I would have given 5 Stars except this time my room was right next to office and the stair case and some of the people checking in were pretty noisy though ...
