Hi Donald - Thanks for the review. Indeed, parts of the hotel are still "under construction", but the pool actually opened while you were still here. Sorry you didnt get to enjoy it...For context, the parts under construction are not visible to guests, nor is there any heavy equipment, loud noises or drilling taking place, as the only things left to be completed are the interior of the Spa, and some other minor finishes around the property...But thanks again Donald for having chosen us and for taking the time to write a review. We truly look forward to having you again once EVERYTHING is in order...

Hi Sassi - You barely missed the opening of the pool. However, guests were being told from the 29th March that the pool was now open...Again, sorry you missed it. As I have stated in other responses, the closure of the pool and other amenities (some of which have now opened , namely the pool and the restaurant - Bar to open this week) were posted on Expedia as well as all other platforms. Apparently the notice isnt large or prominent enough - we have no say in how or where its placed- and some have complained they didnt see it...But its there. Not that any of that is a consolation to you at this time, but we do look forward to having you again. Spa should be open in two months. Thanks for taking the time to write such a thoughtful review. Hi Zhaoquing - We actually opened the pool on the 30th...Sorry you didnt get a chance to enjoy it, but we actually had stated on Expedia (it has been there for some time) that the pool, Spa, and restaurant (restaurant and pool are now open), were temporarily closed...We give thanks that our balcony doors are double glazed and helped to soften the full force of the music from next door. We appreciate the compliments regarding the staff and the breakfast and look forward to having you again when we can put you in a room not close to the front...

An update: Pool and restaurant are now open. Bell hop starting in one week. Spa opening in one month or so. Covered Parking garage now open. We would be happy to have you again under what Im sure will be better circumstances.

Hi Tom - Thanks for the review. Sorry that you experienced the teething pains we were going through having recently opened. Blankets only arrived from middle east two weeks ago. By the way, the switch for the balcony light is beside the full length mirror. The plumbing issues have dogged us for the entire time that we have been open until a few days ago when we finally figured out the issue that caused the noise in the shower drain (which was also associated with the intermittent odour) and its now been permanently fixed. Pool and restaurant are now open.We hope you will reconsider your decision to not revisit. We will make it up to you

As we would have told you, the onsite restaurant will be ready within less than two weeks, In the meanwhile we have been sending our guests and in requested cases bringing the guests breakfast from Altamont West, our sister property just a very short distance from Hotel 39...Again, we apologize for the status, but look forward to having you once we open the restaurant, bar and cafe...The pool should be ready within the same period (of less than 2 weeks). We sincerely apologize for the inconveniences you experienced during your recent stay at our newly refurbished hotel.We are truly sorry to hear about the issues you encountered in your room, especially the unpleasant smell coming from the shower drain in room 204. We had promptly addressed this concern by engaging a plumber to fix the problem; however, it is disappointing to learn that the issue recurred after the initial resolution. Rest assured, we are actively working on a permanent solution to ensure that all our guest rooms are in pristine condition.Regarding the cleanliness and maintenance concerns you raised, we acknowledge that the final touches of the renovation were still ongoing during your visit. We are expecting the final shipment of towels, duvets, blankets, and other essential items from overseas on the 29th, which will significantly enhance the comfort and quality of our accommodations.In the meantime, we appreciate your understanding as we make arrangements to improve our services. We have been temporarily borrowing supplies from our nearby sister property to meet our guests' needs and have been redirecting guests to enjoy breakfast at the sister property's restaurant until ours is fully operational. We are truly sorry that the front Desk didnt offer to have the breakfast brought to you as had been offered to other guests on the morning it was raining. That you infant had to be exposed is also very unfortunate. This arrangement (sending guesst to Altamont West) is temporary until we get the ok from the Ministry of Health here in Jamaica to open the restaurant/s on site. This is expected to be on 5th MarchWe value your feedback as it helps us identify areas for improvement, and we are committed to addressing these issues promptly.
