The general main.building was pleasant and lovely location.
Bedroom faced river with lovely view.
Could not sit on tiny balcony as chairs etc were covered with some droppings from trees. and the floor had not been brushed or cleaned in ages.. Most uninviting. However, a separate removable cushion kept in the room and used on balcony as needed, would have been the answer !
Bedroom/lounge was spacious enough but tiny shower room area.
The carpet was old, dirty and . badly stained.
“Breakfast” consisted of coffee, some dried muesli type of cereal, bowl of tangerines and some rather dry slab cake.
No toast, jam butter etc etc. exceedingly modest!
I think the terminology “breakfast” is misleading - it was an uninspiring repast?
And last but not least - there is no phone in the room and I had not had chance to obtain chip having travelled from Australia.
I had concerns , as I had just been in hospital with heart issues ,which I explained to the innkeeper and her comment was
“Go outside the room and call out!
And what about the other guests??????
Luckily the need did not arise.!!!?
