"My Hotels.com VIP status was barely honored. I did receive a complementary bottle of wine and free wifi, but I did not receive a room upgrade or even a discussion as to why not. And, I did not receive free parking. Instead I was charged 25 Euros per night about $31 a night to park my rental car."

"The property is dated. There are not enough outlets in the room to charge a couple of phones and tablets. Walls are thin and you can hear the neighbors. There are many, many stairs and steps, so if you have mobility issues, be aware. Do not eat in the restaurant. It is horrible. However, the view is spectacular, the pool is huge and the staff is friendly. Breakfast is okay so long as you stay away from the very cold scrambled eggs, sausage and bacon."

"Secluded oasis of peace and calm. Oozing with character. V well maintained. Ideally need rental car to fully appreciated the area. Plenty of local restaurant choices 10 mins drive. 25 mins to Taormina. Nice room (junior suite), plenty of space. Bit quirky re electrical points location. Soundproofing not 100% but was never a problem. Excellent bathroom. Breakfast average. Staff professional and attentive."

Still no water in the morning - no shower- no face wash. Staff said it was the city. I think they should have adjusted our bill to somehow compensate for this major inconvenience. "
