Personally for me as a solo traveller I just need cheap and cheerful accommodation for the evening... Well this is certainly cheap... but it's a newly refurbished hotel with clean and fresh rooms with all the facilities you need.. Even has a gym I noticed going to my room Room was ensuite.. TV.. comfortable bed.. and a small table and chair along with a clothes and shoe rack.. Reception staff friendly and welcoming.. Breakfast..was one of the best I have had from any hotel in this range.. Continental and hot bacon and eggs was available along with a selection of juices and coffee.. Got to say.. all very delicious... "

"This is great hotel close to the city centre and the mons memorial museum all within easy walking distance. That from a guy who injured his leg and was in a leg brace most of the trip. The best bit is you can park your car for free directly outside of it. That save over 40€ on equivalent nearby hotels. The room and a kettle and tea coffee also but a fridge is an extra bonus to pick up cold beers etc from cheap nearby shops. A couple of nice pubs on route to city centre also. Piece of advice is avoid the restaurant Henri on route to centre. Cash only and it turns you’re food into something you felt was microwaved, packet frozen chips etc. head onto city centre where there’s a great Pizzeria on the left just before the square. Sorry can’t remember its name. "

"Used Mons as a base to explore various attractions in the area. The hotel is a typical Ibis, our room was large and spacious, and the bar provided a selection of refreshments which, owing to the warm weather, were very welcome. A friendly support team added to the pleasure of our break. The railway station is conveniently close although the rebuild still isn't finished!"
