It is a beautiful old hotel with LOTS of charm. The intake staff was multi lingual so that was very helpful. Very clean room. It took a bit to figure out how to turn on the lights. Have to put room key in the slot inside the room. A/C did not work. Bed was very hard and big bricks for pillows. We left before breakfast so i can not comment on breakfast. But easy to get a taxi for the airport. Walkable for dining options.

Good hotel in a quite area but not much to do in Monfalcone. A good place to use as a base for day trips to bigger places. The set up of the property it’s a little weird but the rooms are comfortable and clean. Staff is helpful and friendly.

Elegant hotel
lovely hotel but disappointed that no coffee making facility in the room and when we asked they just gave us a kettle. Hairdryer was very low power and not what I would expect in a four star hotel. However, the hotel is very elegant and sophisticated.

Stay here before a Monfalcone cruise
Great place to relax before an MSC cruise from Monfalcone- I huge room, totally spotless, perfect. There was no bar nor restaurant service but a lovely restaurant just 500mtrs down the road (east)

Pleasant surprise
I wanted to stay in Trieste but everything was booked. This was a great alternative. It was a short train ride away and only 8 euros from station. Staff was helpful and exercise room as very good. Breakfast was excellent. Room was modern and pleasant, average sized for Europe. Hotel was like an old mansion and really striking. Staff was very friendly and helpful.

I stayed 2 nights in the Hotel. The staff is very friendly and lady on the breakfast remembers your coffee choice for the next morning. The room was spacious and clean. The hotel has free parking what is very convenient

Nice, modern hotel with several issues.
Hotel was clean and modern. Beds were large and accomodations nice and updated. The breakfast included was good and they had a barista on hand to make coffee for you. But the WiFi would work only occasionally, the rooms were EXTREMELY small, the bed hard, and the shower was a tiny 3 feet by 3 feet. While the front desk clerk was awesome (seriously, she deserved a 5 for friendliness and helpfulness) the rest of the staff continually ignored, misinformed, or responded rudely whenever I asked them anything. I would stay there again, but not for that price.

The hotel was nice and quiet, almost too quiet. (It was a Sunday night, and it seemed like a business hotel, so that explains it. We did not hear or see more than 3 people during our stay). The room was very clean!!!!! I was impressed with how clean the room was, (I have allergies, and there was no dust). The bed was not that comfortable, but since it was clean, I was happy. Also, the gentleman at the front desk made an excellent recommendation for dinner. we were very pleased!

Very nice hotel....no place to eat
Very nice hotel. We stayed one night following a cruise. Room was modern and clean. Very quiet neighborhood, but away for the center of the city which made it difficult to find a place to eat. Staff provided a map, but it was of little use. Hotel restaurant was closed. It was being used as a culinary school and the hotel is in the process of negotiating to get it back. It would have been nice to know that before we booked.

Great, Trieste airport convenient hotel
Definitely one of the more modern hotels, by American standards, in Italy as evident with the key card. Very clean and comfortable rooms. The hotel staff was very helpful and accomodating: I had a 7am flight and I asked the hotel to reserve a taxi service the day before. I completely forgot that I asked the hotel reserve a taxi, but the front desk called in the morning to remind me. So grateful to the front desk, otherwise I could have missed my flight. The hotel is only a 10 minute car ride to the airport, so the neighborhood is very convenient for airport flights. However, other than the convenience, there is nothing else going on in the neighborhood. My four,very minor problems with the hotel: (1) hotels.com stated that there were airport transfers, but there wasen't any, other than a taxi service that cost 18 euros; (2) breakfast started at 7am, but I missed it because of my early flight. Being close to the Trieste airport, the hotel should start breakfast much earlier, especially if its part of the price package; (3) the key entry card system is great, but there should be instructions that tells a guest to just push the door open without turning the knob; and (4) there was only one small, 2-3 inch vertical, 20 inch horizontal shelf in the bathroom to place all your toiletries. Other than these minor issues, I liked the hotel very much, and would stay there again in the event I am leaving from the Trieste airport.

The hotel is far from any center of anything.... You can manage fine by car. The AC did not work and was not fixed until we left. We forgot to cancel breakfast because we left early in the morning, and wouldnt get a refund for it.

Very nice staff and all went well. A bit out of town but that said, only a five minute walk from a very good restaurant rated high on travel sites. Five minutes by cab from the station. Lots of business travelers I suspect.

Our visit to Monfalcone, Italy
We visited Monfalcone as we have friends living there. We spent several days at the Europalace Hotel in between short trips to other cities in Italy, and enjoyed it very much. The art works on display were a plus and the hotel breakfast was really good. There was a nice selection and Cynthia was the perfect hostess. The desk staff was also very helpful. We spent every evening with our friends so did not have an opportunity to check out the bar -- we are saving that for our next trip!

Bed & Breakfast - no hotel
it is very positive the comfort of the room and cleanliness of the bathroom (5*). Though the other basic services of an hotel are lacking. If services are reduced on one side, i.e. NO restaurant or bar available at the hotel, then better 'basic' services should be offered, i.e. breakfast could offer more choices and variaties, room mini bar has NO selection. Overall it is a good bed & breakfast.
