"This was above and beyond expectations. Suite was large, kitchen well staffed, bed comfy, bathroom large, location was spectacular. It was an easy walk to shopping and many many dining options. Pool looked beautiful although we didn’t use it. Great property, great staff and great stay"

"We had a nice stay at the Wyndham. Upon arrival we were greeted nicely and helped by front desk staff. Even though our room was on the first floor we had to walk up a flight of 7 stairs to get to our room. There was no elevator but they did have bellhop service if you wanted it. The room was clean and large. The bathroom set up is not a separate room. There is a small toilet stall with door next to a small shower stall with door both of which face into the bedroom. Both were very small and hard to negotiate for a larger person. We had a hard time figuring out how to manage lights in room and needed staff to come down and show us how to turn off lights in closet that shine into bedroom for sleeping. It would have been helpful if bellhop had shown us all of this upon arrival instead of figuring it out later. We ate breakfast at the breakfast buffet which had a nice variety and food was fresh and tasty. The staff at the restaurant were very friendly and helpful. We used the pool bar which was nice but took a while to get drinks even when it was not very busy. The pool was nice looking but too cold to enjoy for us. We tried to get to the beach but it was a long walk that was not very well marked and gave up trying to get there. We did not find it very walkable to things and were glad we had a car. Parking was good and was not hard to find a spot. Overall I think it was expensive and I would not pay that much to stay at this hotel again."

"Great value deal off-season & mid-week, looks quite new. Amenities & cleanliness actually score closer to 4.5 if more precise, due some nitpicks (at least one was easily fixable). Mountain gives beautiful views - terrace is a great place to eat breakfast/a la carte restaurant meals from (covered for shade). Included breakfast buffet great, totally worth it - choice of fruit/cereals/muesli/cooked breakfast (good), several fruit juices/coffee, milk choices including lactose-free milk ("sem lactose" in Portuguese) as well as other non-dairy "milk"s without a special request. Reception spoke enough/good English. Went extra mile when mentioned was my wife's birthday one evening, came out with a little cake with candles (like a big brownie + pretty, decorative icing), plus left another in our room's fridge. Pools are lovely (though covered outdoor warm one was full of little dark-coloured bits of perhaps the wooden boards around/stuff from between the ridges there). So much across 3 linked blocks (A, B, C) with numerous floors but because of all the corridors & going up/down levels in lifts or stairs to move across them to get to the different facilities, can feel like a rabbit warren. But a well signed one (except one area exiting a lift/stairs I ended up unsure which way to go). Nit-picks: - Missing corkscrew/sharp knives, maid got 1 (said should've had, maybe unchecked between guests). - Hairs on shower wall - Limiting fridge layout (removed shelves for wine/any carton)"
Cascade Wellness Resort Lagos Algarve by Domes

"Loved the pool at the resort and the close proximity to the ponta da Piedade walkway. We walked to Lagos on the beautiful walkway and to the beaches Praia de Dona Ana and stairs to a grotto. Stunning cliff views from the walkway. Staff were so lovely they saw it was my birthday and surprised me with a cake and bubbly wine, I was so touched. Great birthday visit 😊"

"Lovely hotel about 5 minute walk from the beach. Very modern and stylish and exceptionally clean. We had a deluxe double room overlooking the pool and with a sea view. Rooms were very spacious with a large comfortable bed. Breakfast was amazing!! Close enough to walk into town and various local beaches but uber was less than 5 euros to the centre, the marina and also Praia de Luz, so easy to get around without hiring a car. Thank you to the staff who were all amazing!"
