You can spend an afternoon browsing the exhibits at Captain's Cottage Museum during your trip to Murray Bridge. You can enjoy the bars while in the area.
This is a lovely hotel.
The pre paid for breakfast is not worth the cost though nor is the buffet.
Decide what you would like from the full menu & choose from that.
The quality & choice is far better.
There is nowhere apart from your room where you can get any peace & quiet.
Music & chatter or gaming noises are everywhere.
That is not to say this is not a good hotel because it is.
The upper floors offer the best view of the river.
Be clear to book the upper river facing rooms.

Check in was smooth and I was offered a complimentary bottle of fresh milk for making tea in my room - that was a lovely touch! A great, well-run motel with excellent facilities. The only downside is that the mattress was rock hard and I didn’t get much sleep because of that - otherwise the Oval Motel
Is great!

The room was OK although the window wouldn't shut completely. Not a huge issue but it was rather cold when we stayed. The biggest issue was that we were expecting to use the guest laundry facilities as listed on the hotels.com listing but unfortunately the hotel does not actually have any laundry facilities.

We only stayed the one night as we were passing through to visit family in Macclesfield. It was easy to get to and the surrounding scenery was stunning. Checkin was clear with reception and very informative. We had a queen size bed a kitchet with all amenities. There was a walk in shower and plenty of closets space. Very clean and tidy. The best thing was, we were given eggs and bacon in the fridge and cereal for our breakfast and a welcome bottle of Longview vineyards own wine. All was...

We thoroughly enjoyed our three nights at the Victoria hotel in Strathalbyn. All the staff we met went out of their way to help us. Our room was ideal for us with a light breakfast ( cereal, toast, orange juice tea, coffee etc) in the room & an excellent choice on the menu in the restuarant if we wanted a cooked breakfast. We wouldnt hesitate to stay there again if we were in the area.

The room was beautiful and very clean. The option of a little breakfast room where you could make your own breakfast was great and the staff were all lovely and helpful.
