Like most of the hotels down the coast, Nomads has suffered from a drop in tourism. As such the feeling was that the hotel upkeep has not taken priority.
The Rooms are pretty pricey for what you get. We stayed in one of the cottages near the beach as we had travelled some way to enjoy the gorgeous beach and sea, and thoroughly enjoyed the short walk for a dip in the warm Indian Ocean. For what we paid we expected a few more luxury items on the room e.g. Shower caps and other bathroom accessories, and cleaner rooms.
There are some lovely touches however, like the small pool to wash your sandy feet, the private-ish sunbed area and the swing chair.
The breakfast was pretty disappointing. Having stayed at other hotels in Diani, where the food selection is expansive, it was quite disappointing to see what was on offer. However, we liked the restaurant, great menu, good food and beautiful views.
Overall, the views are gorgeous, that's what you pay for. The staff could not do enough for you, especially at reception, the restaurant and hotel bar. I would recommend if it was less pricey.
