Excellent hotel with comfortable bed and plentiful breakfast. I did not use the balcony due to the weather. Guests have use of the sauna and swimming pool at the nearby VNU Hotel (at the top of the hill) for EUR15. This under repair on the first night but I did use it on the 2nd night, they do ask you to wear flip flops or other bathing shoes. The hotel is handy for the REWE supermarket and shops. Sauber, freundlich, schön, bequem. Ich kann Hotel Alexa empfehlen. Preisgünstig in Hochsommer. Göhren ist auch schön, und Hotel Alexa liegt auf der Poststraße in der Stadtmitte.

We received a warm welcome at this hotel, which is superbly located on the seafront in Binz. The rooms were spacious and clean, breakfast was excellent and the bar was pleasant. The pool and spa facilities were very good and you are also able to book beach chairs on the hotel’s private stretch of beach. This is not a part of Germany that is popular with the British, which probably added to its charm. It is a hidden gem.

A very unique hotel. The steampunk/underwater theme is perhaps not to everyone's linking, and the location best described as "in the middle of nowhere" - however, full points for trying to be different! Excellent food, no complaints about accommodation, staff, etc.
