We had a fantastic stay here. The house & setting are just beautiful, so peaceful & the hosts are so welcoming & friendly. The bed was so comfortable! We had an evening meal here which was home cooked & delicious. We had an early start the following day for a Jeep safari we’d booked through the hosts & we were sent off with a huge packed breakfast. The safari was fabulous too, the guide was so knowledgeable about Udawele Park. Wish we could have stayed longer!

Had an excellent stay at the property, staff were amazing and had everything we needed, everything was well maintained, pool was great, highlight was the safari which we booked through the property. Would definitely recommend staying here.

This was the most amazing place to stay. First and foremost the staff were the most friendly and helpful you could imagine. The facilities at Hantara were incredible with a pool which was immaculately clean. Our lodge was spacious,characterful and spotlessly clean. The staff arranged a safari for us in Udawalawe National Park which is very close by. We would stay here again in a heartbeat. Thank you to everyone at Hantara.

We stay group 18 person have 8 rooms. Everything is good.Is like 4 star hotel. Good food nice breakfast no complaints Definitely.Recommend for anybody to stay in this hotel.

Very clean room.Lovely pool. The hotel is out of the way near the river. We loved the tranquil setting. Apart from our safari trip (which was arranged by the owner) we didn’t leave the hotel, which suited us because the food provided at the hotel is delicious. The only negative thing I would say is they could do with upgrading the recliners by the pool.

Everything was great. Manager of the restaurant went above and beyond and was amazing, as were all the staff. Even drove us to and from the elephant transit home in their safari jeep. Made sure everything we asked for, happened. Loved the turtles in the courtyard too.

Feels like you are in the middle of the jungle. Peaceful with lovely pool surrounded by trees. Good food and super helpful staff. Comfortable large room.

The couple that run this place are so friendly and helpful. Lovely people. The home cooked meal was the best Sri Lankan food we have had on the trip. The safari organised through the hotel is amazing and would recommend it. Please note that this hotel is not plush but it is comfortable and clean and quiet. Perfect for our night there to do the safari. The park is very closeby.

This place is amazing! Amazing rooms, service and location. The only downside is the location to other restaurants, everything is a ride away.

The welcome at the Sihilro Regency is second to none. We felt almost like family. The home cooked food offered is really fantastic, exceeding the standard in most of the hotels we stayed in. Arriving over the new year weekend, we were slightly concerned that onward travel would be difficult but they helped us find a taxi at a very reasonable price. We also used their in house Safari and the driver / guide was brilliant. Highly recommended.

A one night stay for the national park so a clean room is all we needed. The room was better than we expected and comfortable. We has dinner and breakfast - food was 'OK'. Reception staff were very helpful, restaurant staff could be more attentive. Best is it is opposite elephant transit home which was, in some ways, better than the safari.

Our stay at the Lankavatara was perfect. The location was idyllic and perfect for a relaxing, quiet getaway with a long stretch of stunning beach that we more or less had to ourselves. The staff were amazing and so helpful and friendly. The food was excellent with a good menu of local dishes and other choices. For our first time visiting Sri Lanka, we had one of the best holidays ever!!

The staff were incredibly attentive, the pool was well maintained and fantastic addition. Prices for food and beverages extremely competitive. The food was some of the best we have had in Srilanka. Close to both the national park and transit home. Clean room and modern bathroom but lacked sockets for charging items.

We had a fantastic stay at Lizard Safari Lodge. The rooms are clean and well kept, with a nice big bed, mosquito net and fan. Our room had a balcony which was great to sit out on in the late afternoon. Dinner was delicious on both nights of our stay (as was breakfast) with a good selection of food and very generous portion sizes! Nandu could not have been kinder, taking us on a tour of the village and to a local swimming spot on the afternoon of our arrival, and providing snacks and ice creams....

Absolute bliss. Pure luxury on the Sri Lankan south coast. Staff couldn't do enough for you, gorgeous pool location.

The manager and his staff were very friendly and helpful. The place is amazing with a nice restaurant the food was very good. We went to see the turtle in the evening in the nearby beach thank to the hint from the manager. We also had an wonderful afternoon boat trip around the lagoon Breakfast was superb Very very happy Thank you!!

Hotel was excellent. Tucked away in nature looking over the lagoon and a 5 min walk away from a quiet beach. The staff were lovely and very attentive. Room was clean and very large with a balcony looking out over the pool. Breakfast was tasty and the restaurant served a great dinner. The beach has turtles nesting and hatching at night time. Would come back!

We stayed at La Pentera for 2 nights in Feb as part of our Sri Lanka tour. We arrived at about 6pm and were greated by Francis the manager and his wonderful team and a welcome drink. The driveway leading up to the 4 chalet hotel is impressive as is the whole hotel concept. Francis had called us in advance and was prepared for our arrival.
