"We stayed near Chamartín as we were taking the train for a day trip to Segovia. This was a great place to stay to do that. We found lovely restaurants near by, about a ten min walk away. We did have a few mosquitos in the room and it was clear to see a few had been splattered on the walls from previous guests. Thankfully, we had bright a plug in mosquito repellent devise. The room was a very good size. Staff were really helpful. We were exhausted the first evening and could have done with eating in the hotel restaurant but it was closed until 1 September. Lots of coffee shops and bakeries within a few minutes walk. Plaza de Castilla was 60 second walk and took us right into central Madrid in a few stops. The area outside to the right of the hotel, at the bottom of the hotel building was covered in graffiti which surprised us."
