Staff really friendly and seem to want you to enjoy your stay. Concierge had great restaurant recommendations and was able to get us tables. Barman was great. Interconnecting room perfect for families and spacious. Would definitely visit again.

This hotel is a little gem. As the name would suggest chocolate plays a major role in both the design of the rooms and the offerings at breakfast time. The rooms are large and well appointed whilst the breakfast, with or without chocolate, will set you up for the day. There is a small museum about chocolate manufacturing on site as well. I’d be happy to stay here again.

A spacious property would like to return again with extended family group. Great facilities, kitchen was well equipped could easily cater for group. Good communication from owners always helpful. Not in the main historical district but had plenty of places to buy food or eat also easy and cheap to get transport. View of football stadium.

Great location, communicative staff and a clean little apartment with decent facilities for a short stay.

Lovely spacious rooms, super comfortable bed and linen. Nice bathroom products. Great to have a bathroom with a bidet too. Although not in the historic centre it was only a 10-15 min Uber ride and they were excellent value. There is a supermarket a 3 min walk if you need anything and a lovely cafe 5 min walk if you don’t want a big breakfast at hotel. Would definitely stay here again.

Excellent hotel and Spa perfect location

This hotel is absolutely beautiful and set in the most amazing valley and vineyard. The Chapel is gorgeous, the rooms are spacious and the pool is a good size. The facilities are great. Transfer to and from Rede Station included, but not from Régua. The restaurant is not very good at all - the vegetarian rice dish was very bland and the food poorly seasoned, but the wine was fantastic. It was also great value.

We booked a double room and were upgraded to a suite which enhanced our satisfaction, improving what was already an excellent deal.

We enjoyed our stay. Staff were helpful and friendly except one receptionist who kept us waiting for a long time whilst he was on the phone with no apologies.The indoor pool was good except there were no lights in the toilets/shower room and no windows on both the times I used the pool. Excellent breakfast and special menu option for evening meal was a reasonable price, but this menu was not made available till late in the day, so one did not know whether to eat in or out, especially as the...
