"The staff were amazing. They had so many details like bringing milk to the room every day. The food was awesome. They made a great breakfast including eggs Benedict and a wonderful supper that gave you 3 different options for meat. The decor is amazing in both the bedroom and the rest of the decor. We felt very cared for. We loved the hotel!!!!"
"Thoroughly enjoyed my return 3 night stay after a successful visit last year. Warm, friendly welcome. Great location in one of England's prettiest villages - plenty to see and do."
"The actual bar and restaurant was really nice but the rooms definitely need an update. The furniture was old and not in a vintage/good way.
The cleanliness was OK but nit thorough (see pictures). Small details could also be improved e.g. have a toilet roll holder on the wall rather than having to put the toilet roll on top of the toilet. Fix the shelf in the bathroom as it is not level so can't be used.
We were in room 15 and there are 2 large velux qindows. Unfortunately these had no curtains so as soon as the sun came up, we woke up. There was no hairdryer and alao, when we arrived we weren't shown how to operate any of the lights or heating. It was cold and it took a while to work out there was a main electrical switch to the room that wasn't on.
We booked the superior double room so I was disappointed as I was expecting more. Saying all of that, I would definitely use the bar and restaurant but wouldn't stay there."
"We had a three night stay at the White Horse Inn and from the moment we arrived to the time we checked we had a great time. The staff were so friendly and helpful and the fact that some had been working there for over 25 years says something. The menu had plenty of choices catering for everyone and the breakfast had everything you could possibly want. We stayed with our Golden Retriever and he was made as welcome as us although we were restricted to the bar for eating which was not a problem for us at all. We would recommend the White Horse Inn to anyone. "
"Was greeted by Allen and Brad. Very friendly and helpful. Room was clean and comfortable. Fabtabulous view out of window. Met Collette and the rest of the staff morning after. All very friendly. Food there was delicious. You can see that Collette only uses the highest quality ingredients. Good choice of breakfast items. Must admit every meal I had was pipping hot. Had lots of people complimenting the food.
Had a thoroughly enjoyable time.
Thank ypu Collette and team. Take care e"
"Nice welcome ,nice room(couple of cobwebs, but they appear from nowhere),nicebathroom, comfortable bed.
This is a country pub not a holiday inn so ecpect uneven floors and wooden windows etc. Every effort was made to make us comfortable.
The only down side of the weekend was a customers pair of dogs although friendly a little unwelcome sniffing around our legs and under the dinner table and perhaps the languish of one or two of the shall we say more boisterous locals was a little ripe, but weve all been there
