Exquisite small hotel with modern understated amenities and fabulous views. Lovely lounge to relax in with a coffee machine and other amenities that made our stay very special
Perfect for watching sunrise. Absolutely loving everything the hotel is offering. It’s our second time staying at Fairfield hotels and we really love them.
This hotel was amazing and the bed was super comfortable (we stayed at several hotels during our trip and this was by far one of the best and the most comfortable bed).
A lovely, well-maintained hotel located by the beach. The room was somewhat larger than typical budget accommodations in Japan. The welcoming staff ensured our stay was truly memorable.
Very nice, clean hotel with a great view. The huge parking lot outside is a big plus too. Service was impeccable. The room is spacious, with a partition that can be pulled to hide the washroom and sink area.
Not much around in terms of food though.
Staff were extremely friendly and helpful, room was very nice. Very close to a main bus terminal which was good, only negative is there were very few restaurants around.
Its a very quiet place and the room feels spacious . Its right next to a bus stop, but you'll get around faster if you Uber. There are no resturants on the property but its within walking distance to a Lawson. Its right next to the beach!
The room was very nice and good ocean view. However, wrong breakfast venue recommendation at the front-desk when checking in. Those recommended were closed on the day or required pre-booking one day prior. The catering service never answered my phone call and responded back over LINE far after 10pm even although they require such a request by 9pm one day prior. Fortunately, another clerk helped me to find a good one but we wasted about two hours in the morning. YOU NEED TO PLAN YOUR BREAKFAST WHEN YOU BOOK THIS HOTEL.
I booked a room with a view of the sea and it was definitely worth paying slightly more for it. The rooms are modern and comfortable with a sliding screen that can be used to separate the bed area from the rest of the room. Free coffee and tea available downstairs, plus water and instant coffee provided in the room daily. A breakfast plan does not seem to be available, so I bought breakfast in the local supermarket (a Lawsons is even closer). Higashiura bus terminal is on the other side of the road which makes for good travel connections (there is a taxi rank at the bus terminal and I also used Uber). Staff at the hotel were helpful and many spoke basic English. Higashiura is less busy than other areas of Japan with the sea, rice fields and the countryside nearby. Some streets have no or limited street lights - not really an issue as Japan is very safe, but be aware of traffic. Two things I’d like the hotel to improve 1) to use the wifi you seem to have to register with Marriot and the login process initially confused the VPN I use 2) to use the washer and dryers you have to download an app, let it connect to bluetooth, then pay by apple pay, credit card or some other payment methods - you can’t use coins as the slots have been taped up. Feels unnecessarily complex.
For luggage forwarding, I asked and if I understood correctly, they only support cash on delivery to the next destination.
In summary, a very nice hotel and I’d be more than happy to stay there again.
New hotel right on the bay in northern Awaji. Rooms are wonderful - spacious with great shower & beds. Our room had a spectacular view! The lobby is very nice and welcoming. The staff speak reasonable English for those who do not speak Japanese. The beach at the hotel is nice and not crowded. The sand is pretty good but it gets a little rocky right at the edge in the water (not an issue at all). They do have some food items for sale but do not provide any food besides a miso soup packet (which is quite tasty). I would suggest that the hotel consider offering some breakfast as there are limited options nearby. The farmers market next to the hotel parking lot has some options and limited souvenirs. Would definitely come back!
