It was our 2nd stay at the Iron Horse. The first time we stayed was winter and it was snowy. We weren’t able to get around without our car much. This 2nd time was better. We walked across the street to eat a pizza and have some brewed beer. The room was clean both times and I barely heard other visitors. We had a great time there.

The moment we entered - we faced an indifferent valet. He did not offer to park the car or even open the door of the hotel as we struggled with our bags. He just looked away and could not be bothered. This was just a taste of the service that was awaiting us for the next three days. I arrived on a Thursday afternoon and the Wi-Fi was not working. It did not work on Friday either. So if you were hoping to get some work done - no luck. I used my own hot spot and had to buy more data from my phone carrier to get through some meetings. On complaining to the receptionist - same attitude. Could not be bothered. Friday morning receptionist wasn’t even aware that there was no working Wi-Fi . Housekeeping is only on request. Again, I requested housekeeping on a Friday and came back to an untouched room. We also went to the outdoor bar called Yard, and the bartender was just too busy and flustered. Overall - too many instances to give this hotel any room for doubt. The room was spacious, the decor nice - it’s just bad customer service that lets this place down.

This was a great hotel in a cool repurposed building. The outdoor patio was amazing as was the food. The room was lovely and quiet. We walked to the Harley Museum from here. Highly recommend.
