"The breakfast was great. There is a neighborhood cat that comes over at breakfast and it’s very cute. The staffs are very personal. It’s like living at a friend’s home. The sea view was amazing from the room. I could see the beautiful sunrise and sunset over Erhai everyday! The area is very clean and quiet but it is a little far from the tourist spots like ancient towns. "

"My recent stay at this incredible hotel on a small island in DaLi was nothing short of magical. From the moment I arrived, I was captivated by the perfect blend of authentic charm and modern luxury. The peaceful ambiance made it the ideal escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. What truly set this hotel apart, however, was the exceptional service. The staff went above and beyond to make me feel like I was visiting family rather than staying at a hotel. Their attention to detail was unparalleled—from the thoughtful gesture of placing shoe warmers in my shoes before I headed out, to ensuring that our room was always stocked with fresh snacks and fruit. "Room was nice, but not the best place to stay. The problems were as of the time of this review they are still fixing the road, so you can't call a car from the front, you have to take a walk around the corner which is an inconvenient place for the driver to pick you up. Apparently, this road has been under construction for the last 5 years, and the locals I spoke to think it will be the same for a few more years. Other than that, the breakfast was revolting, the bread was hard around the edges, the eggs had a metallic smell to them which I didn't dare eat, and the one mouthful of coffee I did have immediately got spat back out, really not good. Couldn't even eat the bacon, and as I walked out of the dining room most plates had a substantial amount of food left on them. Ended up just ordering breakfast from outside after the second day. Lastly, I thought it was pretty poor form to charge people upwards of 25 yuan to use the washer and dryer when most hotels that are actually cheaper just let you use the laundry facilities for free. Anway the room is fine if you need to be in central Dali but other than that go to Gucheng instead. "
