"The only reason I did not give 5*s for the staff was the check in person could've been more helpful when I asked him if I could get a refund for the next night as we were departing after our first night. I hardly ever travel, this was a visit in regards to what we believed to be a family emergency in regards to my aging parents, one of which had taken a bad fall, as it happened we did not need the next night. He said that since I had booked with Expedia he could not help. I had paid for cancellation capabilities when I booked but was not sure of the criteria needed to get a refund or if I had met the requirements. I feel that the clerk could've told me to call them instead of just blowing me off. HOWEVER, everyone else I dealt with there was awesome, I think it was Katie ( that I spoke to making sure our reservation was done right, etc) at the desk that was very nice and helpful over the phone, as was the one when we checked out. The young lady doing the free breakfast was nice , running around keeping things cleaned up and keeping the food stocked. It wasn't alot, but I gave her a tip, something I never even thought about doing at a Hotel free breakfast,,, I do tip well when dining out though. Please note, in February we stayed at a Comfort Inn in Lees Summit, it was horrible, like a 3rd world country, it looks as if we will need another stay in the future and will definitely stay at your hotel. There were a few maintenance issues in our room, out of space here. Thnx."
