"We decided to book Sahara Magic Luxury Camp independently rather than join a group tour, and we’re so glad we did!
Hassan warmly welcomed us at the pickup point and drove us to camp in their 4x4. Mustafa greeted us with wonderful hospitality and delicious Moroccan tea. The camel trek to watch the sunset over the Sahara was absolutely mesmerizing and a highlight of our trip.
The tents were clean and well maintained, but the food was the real standout! The tajines at dinner were the best I had throughout our entire trip to Morocco, with generous portions that left us completely stuffed. Breakfast was equally delicious, especially the Moroccan omelette.
A special shoutout to the staff who organized the evening entertainment and bonfire, making the night even more memorable.
The hospitality, food, and overall experience were exceptional. I only wish we could have stayed longer! Highly recommend Sahara Magic Luxury Camp to anyone looking for a memorable Sahara Desert experience."
"The tents on the campground were beautifully appointed and felt like luxury hotel rooms, from a clean and comfortable bed to high-quality shower and bathroom areas. The personnel could not have been more attentive and accommodating and were helpful and supportive at every turn. Set dinners were well-priced and were very good.
My one cautionary message would be some unexpected additional charges imposed by the camp. They charge 300 MAD ($30 US) per night for critically important nighttime air-conditioning (daytime heat in the Sahara makes nighttime in the tent unbearably warm), and 300 MAD ($30 US) for 4-wheel drive transportation, each way, between the main road in Mergouza (as near to the camp as most cars can go) to the camp.
Our two nights at this camp were a fun and memorable experience — visits to nomadic areas and camel rides our favorite highlights — and would highly recommend it."
"Le campement du Sanmao est idéalement situé tout près de l’Erg Chebbi. Le site est magnifique et les tentes sont toutes équipées et très confortables. Tout le personnel a été très serviable mais mention honorable à Abdel qui est le chef d’orchestre sur le site et qui s’assure qu’on ne manque de rien. Si vous voulez vivre une expérience inoubliable, nous recommandons fortement le Sanmao desert luxury camp."
"A lovely welcome with Moroccan tea before departure, along with clear explanations of all the activities offered by the team. The tents were very comfortable and beautifully located in the heart of the desert. Everything was well organized, from the activities to the dinner and breakfast.
A special mention to Saïd, who took care of the 4x4 driving through the dunes and was always available to help with anything we needed. The whole team was incredibly kind, welcoming, and attentive, making the experience truly memorable."
"Internet was unreliable but youre in the desert and supposed to be ~being in the moment and appreciating nature so wasnt a big deal.
Food was great for me but im not too picky.
Boss (sorry forgot his name) was accommodating and very communicative.
the Mohammeds were always checking in on us to make sure everything was good.
There was a night of singing and dancing (awesome voices) and we did the tours: Ali with the desert tour is so kind and Hassan with the camels is lovely and so passionate about taking our pictures. Very very warm people.."
