The room I booked via Expedia was NOT the room we got. We reserved & paid for a king 1 bedroom suite with a separate living area & pull out couch. They put us in a 1 king bed room. There’s THREE adults. They accommodated us to a 2 queen bed room BUT this was still NOT the room I reserved & paid for! After a long evening at baseball games this wasn’t what we needed.

We've now stayed at the Hilton Garden Inn 3 times. It's very easy on/off from the highway and we love that it has a full bar and restaurant. Food is good and the hotel staff are all very helpful and efficient.

The guy at checkin was wonderful and quite helpful and friendly. The woman this morning was the polar opposite. I have met friendlier copperheads. They no longer offer the travel shampoos, which would be fine if they kept the full sizes full! The shampoo was completely empty which means hospitality has t been checking them. There was no hair dryer and it took at least 30 minutes to get one. The outlets in the bathroom didn’t work. Desk clerk couldn’t have cared less.

Good stay, disappointing atmosphere
A bit disappointed that there wasn't any decor in the room. One chair, bed and the fridge/coffee maker. It didn't have a warm, welcoming feeling at all. It served our purpose, but for the price of the room, you would think it could have been decorated.

When checking out the little black girl was laying on one of the couches in lobby and her cell phone, we had to ask if she was the desk attendant and she proceeded to answer our questions as she laid down on the couch an texted on her phone, also only one Ice machine worked in whole building , the elevators need major attention!

Fire Alarm
The fire alarm went off, the FD never showed up to check things out, the bar never stopped serving, people were being allowed to stay in the front lobby/bar, I don’t know about anyone else but we were taught in the Air Force to evacuate the bldg, don’t bother to take anything GET Out. That did not happen. Very worrisome to me.

Needs some attention in the bathroom
Room was clean and staff was nice. On check-in, staff (who was very friendly and professional btw) informed me that Hilton’s credit card system was down and consequently couldn’t find my reservation. After some research got me set up. The bathroom in my room was a little bit of a wreck as the toilet flush handle was loose/broken and the sink faucet was too. Sorry but I have to take some points off for that. After a long day on the road I went sound asleep at 9:45, but at 11:30 something sounded the fire alarm and the whole hotel had to evacuate for about 30 minutes.

We specifically booked this (higher nightly rate) hotel to have an opportunity to go swimming, only to get there and be told the pool was closed. They did give us an opportunity to swim in the hotel next doors pool (another in the chain) which was really clean but also really freezing cold!
