"This is a grand palatial hotel, it’s very beautiful sat right at the top of a large hill. In its day it would have been an amazing place to stay. Now a tad dated but still a lovely place to stay. All the staff are friendly, very professional and generous. I had a corner room with a small balcony and superb view of lake Varese. My room was big and the bathroom clean. The only difficult part if you stay a while and plan to eat out (rather than in the grand restaurant) is that there’s no easy way to walk down into Varese so you need to drive there or get a taxi. "

"The stay was perfect. The hotel is established and you feel the history and class when you are walking in. The hotel staff is always available from unpacking your car and delivery your luggage on arrival to picking your luggage and packing your car back during departure. The service is incredible. The restaurant and bar are good with the variety of choices. "

"The hotel is nice but located on a noisy roadway in a commercial area. I would recommend reserving a quieter room in the back of the hotel. The staff was very helpful and accommodating, even opening the breakfast room at 5:30 instead of 7 because of our early flight. Rooms are small but well-appointed. "

"The evening attended was amazing, he was very nice and helpful. He welcomed me with all the Italian charm and hospitality. He gave me insight on what restaurant to eat at even thought the options were limited for a traveler without a car. The only issue I had was that theirs was no shuttle service and the taxi prices were pretty pricey from the hotel to the airport because they charge a flat rate. Even though the taxi from the airport to the hotel was much cheaper because they charge the regular distance rate as most taxi services do."
