"Hotel La Palma exceeded our expectations and is one of the finest hotels we’ve stayed at on Lake Maggiore. We booked a Deluxe Lake View Room on the 6th floor, and it was absolutely spectacular. The spacious terrace, complete with a table and comfortable outdoor sofa, offered breathtaking views of the lake and was the perfect place to relax with a glass of wine.
The amenities are outstanding. The gym and spa, also located on the 6th floor, are beautifully designed and impeccably maintained. The rooftop Sky Bar on the 7th floor is a wonderful spot for aperitivo while watching the sunset over Lake Maggiore. The hotel also features a gorgeous rooftop pool as well as a massive lakeside pool with incredible panoramic views—both perfect for relaxing after a day of sightseeing.
Breakfast each morning was exceptional. The buffet offered an extensive selection of fresh pastries, fruits, cheeses, meats, eggs, made to order items, and just about anything you could want to start the day.
The staff throughout the hotel were warm, professional, and attentive, providing excellent service from check-in to departure.
The only drawbacks were that our room was directly beneath the Sky Bar, so the music and activity could be heard into the evening. We also noticed cigarette smoke drifting down from guests at the Sky Bar and from neighboring balconies, which occasionally made it difficult to enjoy our own terrace.
