"Nice breakfast"

"My first time staying here and I was not disappointed. There was ample parking along with a lovely beer garden area with good seating and water features. The entrance is a little dimly lit but gives way to tasteful décor and a welcoming reception area as well as a bar. The lady on reception was warm and friendly. My room was on the ground floor which was fortuitous as the sole elevator was not working. The room was really nice with the bathroom providing the piece de resistance with the underheated tile floor which was a first for me. The walk-in shower was amazing and quite therapeutic. They had a 24 hour fitness facility which was quite basic but had enough for a cardio session but couldn't provide a weights workout. They had a couple of work stations although the pec deck was out of order, a good array of dumbells and 2 benches. Unfortunately both of these were flat benches which limited exercises so an adjustable bench would really add value to the stay. A number of dining options both fast food and restaurant were within a 10 minute walk from the hotel which was a great convenience. A great night's sleep followed by a decent cooked breakfast ended a very decent stay where just a couple of improvements would inspire a 5 star rating."

"Selection at breakfast could be improved. More staff at checkin at peak times, (4pm-7pm) to avoid lengthy wait times. Reception staff actually be sorry for keeping you waiting. Rooms good and clean. Evening food menu very limited. Dedicated bus parking, rather than just parking them outside the front blocking the hotel entrance."

"It was ok as a pit stop en route to the north, shower was erratic and food very mediocre, (my poached eggs tasted of curry) but overall not bad"

"The car park is not part of the hotel and so you are charged £26 for any time over 15mins of time in any 24 hour period. There is no, go out and come in to reset the timer. As such the receptionist has an on going battle with every client parking there. I note that there is no support from the management to combat this situation. Any complaints you make should go directly to the manager NOT the team behind the counter. "
