The COVID-19 pandemic has triggered dramatic changes to how we travel. If you plan to visit Medoc, these tips will help you navigate travel's newest challenges:

• Before committing to anything, find out if any travel restrictions apply — in both your destination and origin. Keep informed with the latest updates by checking government and airport websites.
• You must wear a face mask at the airport, including at security checkpoints. Be prepared to lower your mask to verify your identity when asked by a TSA officer.
• Instead of handing a TSA employee your boarding pass, place it directly on the scanner yourself. Then, hold it up for inspection.
• You can now take one container of hand sanitizer up to 12 oz (350 ml) in your hand luggage. You'll have to remove it for screening.
• Empty your personal items from your pocket, such as your phone, keys and wallet, and put them in your carry-on instead of into bins. This will reduce handling during the screening process.
• Transport any food items in a clear plastic bag and also place them in a screening bin. Keeping your food separate from your carry-on means it's less likely a TSA agent will need to open your bag for inspection.
