Photo in the office shows the hotel circa 1965. My room had the exact furnishings as the room in the photo. The. Exact. Furnishings.
Only the bar/restaurant next door for a meal. Food was average small town fare.
Pillows were those small ones that have been washed a million times. Bed was comfortable enough.
Seriously, it would be a cute hotel if they would put some money into it. There was a sign in the office proudly stating that it was family owned since 1960. Which means it should have...

A fun and different hotel with clean and comfortable rooms. Only downside was that there was no hanging or storage space for clothes in our room. Not a problem for us as we were only staying one night but if you were there for longer or for a special occasion you'd want to be able to hang up your clothes.

We were breaking a long journey so it was only a 1-night stay. The occupancy rate was very low but locals say it gets busy for university events - start/end of semester and sports events.
Checkin was quick and easy. the room was very spacious. Visible parts of the room were clean but undet furniture there was trash from previous occupants. One window was badly cracked.
The bed was very comfortable and in the morning breakfast was generous with a good variety of the normal fare.
