"Windermere house is beautifully situated on the lake so be sure to get a lake view room. The food was good; the breakfast buffet was well stocked with our favourites. It makes for a lovely getaway to unwind and feel spoiled!"

The suite I was in, had a very large desk, which was wonderful for a working vacation, but would also double as a great table as it had access for chairs on both sides.
I initially could not find the closet because the barn doors for the bathroom cover the closet when they are open, I was a little confused unpacking, but figured it out
The fitness centre is well equipped, the front desk staff are amazing and the complementary breakfast in the morning was satisfactory. I would definitely stay at this hotel again unless I need to be downtown thunder Bay."
"Rooms are a little outdated for what you pay.
Breakfast is as expected, however, dishes get piled and left too long and items (cream, jam) don’t get replenished quick enough or they advise that they have run out (which is not acceptable in my opinion).
Otherwise, great place to stay!
Staff is friendly and complimentary firewood is a bonus 👌

"Good rooms for a good price. Everything was clean and comfortable and staff were very friendly and helpful. It’s not a Holiday Inn, e.g. breakfast, (they do have an espresso machine though :), outside entrance, but at least it’s clean and maintained. Would recommend if you’re looking for a clean place to sleep at an affordable rate. "
"staff were very friendly and super helpful in suggestions for activities to do in area…They suggested Port carling Museum which we enjoyed and the muskoka farm and winery…Took their wagon tour of cranberry marsh ..We also enjoyed their property and view of the water..Very peaceful.The king bed was very comfortable Fall colours in the area was gorgeous.."
