This is the Athenaeum Hotel on the grounds of the Chautauqua Institute, a wonderful community along the lake when visitors can enjoy programs, classes and community events. It is a non profit education center and summer resort in southwestern New York. Outside visitors are welcome at the site and there are numerous places to stay outside of the community. Worth a visit.

This is a historic property. It was quaint, quiet, and clean. We were made to feel very welcome. It was so fun to walk around and see all the homes and amenities in the Chautauqua Institute.
