Our colazione were splendid, with plentiful fresh food,fruits, formaggio, uovo etc. Davide quickly problem solved a minor glitch with the heat in the room and we were very comfortable. Front desk receptionist (Valentina) was excellent in checking us in and showing around the room, shared the map and explained where to see what attractions, suggested great dining options. Morning breakfast was great, room was excellent. Recommend all to stay and try the experience out.

A unique stay in a cave room right in the heart of Matera. No parking in old town but multi storey car park a 10 minute walk away (10 euros per day) - beware the slippery cobbles and steps when pulling luggage through the old town, not for the infirm! Interesting stay and very helpful host. Continental buffet breakfast included. Convenient for exploring the old town.

Lovely hotel with extremely helpful staff. We loved staying in a cave room. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and I didn’t want to ever get out of the enormous shower. When we arrived, really after restaurants were serving lunch, the reception staff called to make sure the restaurant next door could accommodate us. He then mapped out a walking tour for us for the afternoon and recommended several restaurants nearby for dinner. We loved everything about the place except that the platform for the bed was larger than the bed and if one (I.e. me) were not paying attention, it was easy to walk into the corner of the platform and give your leg a nice bruise.

This is an EXCELLENT place to stay and enjoy Matera. The rooms are big, very comfortable, modern, and convenient to walk around beautiful Matera. The bathroom is big and the toilet is in a separate room than the shower and the lavatory. The staff is very helpful and very cordial. They helped us with every request we had. But, I can’t emphasize more the location… it is in the middle of the Sassi and all locations that one needs to visit. It is located in a small mountain that overlooks part of the Sassi. And one thing very important, you don’t have to carry your luggage to far up, the lobby is 6 stairs from the main avenue that takes you everywhere. Highly recommended.!!!

Problème de réservation : j'ai fait une erreur en mentionnant une personne au lieu de deux en réservant. J'ai envoyé un mail à l'hôtel en rappelant la réservation pour 2 personnes pour 1 nuit en précisant que j'avais un chien. La personne s'est empressée de me répondre positivement pour le chien (15 € : normal), a confirmé la réservation mais n'a pas vérifié le nombre de personnes et ne m'a pas avertie de mon erreur. A l'enregistrement, elle m'a demandé 30 € pour 1 personne supplémentaire. Le lendemain matin, au check out, elle me dit "me faire un cadeau" en partageant le surplus demandé : celui ci était encore de 30 € (elle ne devait pas connaitre ses tables). Ils en ont simplement profité pour "se rembourser" la commission que prend Expédia à la réservation. De plus, dans le mail de confirmation pour le chien, il n'a pas été précisé qu'il ne devait pas entrer dans la salle de déjeuner. Nous sommes donc allés petit-déjeuner ailleurs à nos frais. Autre pb : Pas d'électricité en rentrant à minuit. Indigne d'un partenariat avec Expédia

El lugar es mágico al igual que su ubicación. Pero, lo mejor fue el trato de las personas encargadas. Nos trataron increíble, justo cuando llegamos nos dieron toda una explicación de que hacer, recomendaciones de restaurantes. Sin duda es el mejor lugar para quedarse en Matera!
