"We enjoyed our stay at Villa Maria Tayrona,the end and highlight of our 10 days in Columbia! The remote jungle location with a beautiful beach is just what we were looking for. The pool area has plentiful seating and shade, and the water temperature is perfect. The staff is friendly and attentive, and the restaurant food is good. I would highly recommend Villa Maria to those looking for a beach/jungle eco experience "

"Clean hostel, short walk from the beach. Friendly staff, nice restaurant. Lights continuously flickered which was annoying but the WiFi worked most of the time (cuts in and out sporadically). No hot water. A few small shops nearby for drinks and snacks."

"We had a great time. Highly suggested to stay in the park for a night at least. This is the best place where to do it if you are not the camping type. Comfort while in the middle of Tyrona. We also got a massage at the spa which was just incredible (way above our expectations).
I would go back in a heart bit. The one tiny thing to notice is that the food is not so great. Ok for a couple of meals but I wish there were other options for that. Otherwise, perfect !! "

"Barlovento is a gem near Tayrona. One almost doesn’t need to leave the property to get the real jungle beach experience. However, it is a perfect home base for your adventure. The accommodations are very comfortable and quiet. Just watch out for the “no see ums” insects that get through the mosquito nets in the cabana, but this is true everywhere.
