Great accommodation in the Smithy! Fabulous pub with wassailers when we stayed, but the food after a busy Christmas and New Year was a little lacking. Was good and there was everything that the menu stated but in minute quantities. Staff great and friendly. Would return.

Stayed for one night, arrived after dark and left by 9am. Hotel on approach is impressive. Foyer cosy and decorated beautifully. Receptionist warm and welcoming. Staff were helpful and assisted with an early check in. Room was clean and well presented. Motion sensor stair light seemed to come on when our constantlry arguing neighbours were in and out of their room banging doors. Maybe fit a normal two way lighting system ratjer than a motion would be better. ...
