Mary Church Terrell Residence

There was ongoing painting of the doors being done when I arrived to check in. So if I was hoping to rest or do something in my room at 3 that would have been a problem. Notices were posted that this was happening until 5, but I think it should have been stopped at 3 pm so no check ins were impacted. The breakfast buffet was pretty disappointing. I didn't feel the quality of the foods was what I was used to, the gravy for the biscuits was very bland, the biscuits I didn't feel were that great either. The best thing I had there was per-packaged cereals and Orange Juice. The bed slept great and the room stayed cool enough though I do wish the A/C unit just stayed on non-stop instead of turning on and off to maintain temperature. The room was clean and I felt secure staying there.
