Beautiful but lots of problems

The air conditioner worked 2 of the 4 days were we there which the owner replaced. The wifi never worked. The owner was not able to have it fixed. There was a shortage in the water heater, which the owner had replaced also while we were there but you got an electrical shock when you touched the spicket in the showers and the sinks in the bathroom. The owners did what they could to fix them , but we kept on getting shocked. The owner did drop off fresh fish, which was very kind, but never took any money off the price of the rental. She did say she would take money off if we came back, but why would you want to come back? At $x,xxx.x x you have a different expectation. I will not stay there again. But it beautiful appointment and clean.

A Beautiful Villa located overlooking the ocean

Overall my experience of staying in the Villa was very good. It's been built and furnished to a high quality and the end result is beautiful. It's airy and spacious inside and has all of the amenities you could want whilst on holiday. The Villa is one of four that sit in a row right on the sea. The view from the Villa is beautiful. The only slight downside was that I did get the feeling it lacked a little privacy as all of the outside space is aligned across the Villas and open to each other. Minor but worth being aware of if all are in use at the same time. Within the grounds the Villa sits in there is a small secluded private beach which looks out to a small reef that is very good for snorkeling.

Mermaids at Mermaid Reef

My family had a really nice stay at Mermaid Reef Villa #3. It was very laid back but the accommodation was very nicely furnished and appointed. We were a short walk to a small beach with a snorkeling reef just a fin flip away with abundant fish. The kitchen was mostly stocked with what you would need to cook all meals and there is a nearby grocery store to stock up on food. The linens and towels were abundant. We had one issue with a loud ceiling fan but we just didn't use it. The owner came by on the last day to make sure we were happy with our stay. We never needed Margo but I knew she was available if we did.
