We quite enjoyed our stay at the Riad Omri and made use of the spa services with both a Hammam and massage, which were very good ! Nice continental breakfast and great coffee. Room was not large but clean and well appointed. At check out we had a balance due to the spa services etc and were told that the connection for credit card payment was not working. It was suggested by the manager that we obtain cash (>3000 MAD) on our way to the airport from a bank machine and then give the cash to the driver to then give back to the Riad?? This did not sound legitimate or wise. Not until we insisted that we would not pay cash and the we felt that this was a scam did the credit card machine all of a sudden work at the "last attempt" by the riad manager.

Regarding the cash settlement we are perfectly transparent on this subject and want to make clear that our customers may be asked for an exceptional settlement in cash or by bank transfer when the CB terminal is inoperative, which can happen and does absolutely not depend on our will but of the state of the telecommunications network of the Medina (old town) which is sometimes capricious. There is strictly nothing illegal or unfair about asking for a cash settlement. We are a guest house with an international reputation and we hold high the values ​​of service and ethics. Our honesty cannot be called into question by suspicious interpretations. We pretend to scrupulously take care of the interests of our customers, we would never force a customer to pay in cash when he can pay by CB it is contrary to our values ​​and our principles. You were finally able to pay by CB but know that it has nothing to do with your insistence to pay by cash but essentially with the fact that the telecommunications cut was restored by the city within a reasonable time. (We can provide material and technical proof). Finally, the proposal to hand over the payment to our driver was mainly made for the sake of your comfort, being on the departure to the airport we did not wish to impose on you the inconvenience of returning to the riad to give us your due. We are sorry that you misinterpreted our approach. Yours sincerely.

The property is really beautiful and the hosts work really hard to make sure you're happy. The location of the hotel is impossible to find and a bit off the center. There are no signs. And it's a maze of alleyways. Do not try to drive to the place! Also, the property is right by a mosque so if you're a light sleeper those morning calls for prayers might wake you up. Overall the stay was very positive and the place is gorgeous.

By Far the Best Riad in Morocco
I don't even know where to start. This Riad is the best in Morocco. The property is absolutely stellar. The staff was incredible. The literally waited on us like we were staying in their personal homes. The property was extremely clean. The location was a little ways from the main Souks, but that didn't bother us at all. Taxis were always available to take us the 15 minutes to the main attractions. We liked the hotel so much that we actually extended our stay another day because we didn't want to go back to our prior hotel in Casablanca. If you're looking for a little piece of paradise in Morocco, look no further.

Wonderful authentic Riad.

The Riad Omri in itself was so beautiful and truly felt like traditional Morocco. There was so much detail aesthetically and the amenities were very nice. We felt well taken care of and waited on consistently. We appreciated their kindness and genuine love hospitality- their tips and recommendations, including our conversation and laughs. I would recommend to stay here to anyone looking for a place in Marrakech.

Lovely stay in slightly scary neighborhood
Lovely stay at the Riad Omri. It is quite a long walk from where the taxi drop off, the neighborhood doesn’t feel very safe. so be mentally prepared esp if you arrive at night.

Moreover the Riad is located 5 minutes from a large car park and the police headquarters of the city center. The service of accompaniment (optional) that we propose is without any relation with the localization but constitutes an additional comfort for our customers so that they do not get lost in the labyrinth of the alleys of the medina.Looking forward to seeing you in Marrakech.

Perfect stay to relax
Riad Omri is beautiful and just like the pictures. The staff is welcoming and helpful. It is not the most centralized Riad, but walkable to the areas that you want to go.

Bad location beautiful Riad
Beautiful Riad but not in a good location of the madina. They put you a staff member to walk you to the main street each time because of the problematic location.

A WONDERFUL OASIS!!!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Riad Omri. Wished we found it sooner so that we could have stayed there longer. We came from a 3-night stay at another Riad which was NOT a good experience. Anyway, we liked the cleanliness of the place, the wonderful and attentive staff, the spa treatments, the serenity, nice amenities, etc. Overall, we had a PERFECT stay!

Beautiful riad very tastefully decorated. All the staff are an absolute credit to Riad Omri. They were polite, incredibly friendly, great sense of humour! Fabulous rooftop terrace with jacuzzi, great spa area downstairs too.

The staff were so friendly and welcoming, especially Yassim, Abdurahman and Rashid. They really understand well about my gluten free allergy, they were really attentive to everything we needed. Everything about Riad Omri is excellent! The beautiful grounds, the impeccable rooms, the delicious dinners, and the awesome staff who take care of your every need. They arranged taxi services, tours and meals for us at a moments notice and always with a smile and pleasant nature. I would definitely stay here again, I highly recommend Road Omri!

Lovely little riad however there is one big element that lets it down. Paid a premium to be in a spa riad yet you had to book when you wanted to use simple facilities like the jacuzzi and were expected to pay for this. I would expect that as a guest of the riad and for already paying a premium that use of such facilities were included. I arrived back one evening and wanted to use the jacuzzi but because I hadn’t pre booked I was not able to as it was not up to temperature and wouldn’t be until the following day. Totally disappointing. Secondly, I booked a specific room as it had a fireplace and was not given this room on arrival - I had to ask to be moved.

The jacuzzi pool in the wellness center, wich is  dedicated to the well being of our guests is available on request and chargeable as officially mentioned on websites.  With our best regards.

This hotel is a scam and a rip off!
We were looking forward to stay at Riad Omri, but had a very poor experience there. Upon arrival we found out our room was very small, especially if compared with other Riads we stayed it. We might not even noticed it, since we only were planning to sleep there. But the staff mentioned, that we probably do not fit in this room with our daughter. We said it is fine, but he start forcing us to upgrade the room. He was very pushy. We had nothing to do, but go and check another room. New room was tiny too, only the bed was a little bigger, so we decided to not upgrade. Then the person from the reception start pushing up to move to the new room, and pay $150 on top of our reservation fee for the upgrade plus $50 for the extra roll away bed for our daughter. We were shocked! It brought the room price to $350!!!! And we were in Morocco where everything suppose to be cheaper! We again kindly refuse. Several more people came and all start pushing up for an upgrade. We were about to cancel our reservation and run away! They didn’t leave us alone!!! What a surprise next morning we found out that we were the only guests at the hotel, and it was not matter for then which room to give us, since all of them were available. They only reason they gave us the tiniest room possible is a intend to rip us off! The advertised Spa was closed too, they were unable to show it to us when we asked. Plus it also cost some insane amount of money per person to use it. Worst experience ever!

Madam You have every right to express yourself, but it is also important to be objective and honest in your remarks, which in your case are as unfair as they are unfounded. We are literally dismayed by their bad faith. After having insulted us by calling us scammers and thieves on Tripadvisor (like you are used to do on many hotel we discovered) you reiterated  here on expedia  the slander in a version a little less vulgar. All this is unacceptable. First of all You have failed to mention that you showed up at our hotel 3 people instead of the two people normally expected in your booking. The standard room you booked is not intended to accommodate 3 people. We only  informed you About that at your arrival without ever trying to push you to any upgrade, we never dot that, it is against all our moral principles and our professional ethics.   Then the rates that you announce about the upgrade are not corresponding to any reality. (See websites) The real price difference between the standard room and the junior suite (allowing 3 people) is barely 30 € and surely not 150 €. Furthermore in your standard room the addition of a personn/extra bed (which you refused for your daughter) would have cost you only 30 € (this one having less than 12 years) and not 50 €. And anyway you didn't pay anything for her as we offered her stay !  You also claimed that we did not let you visit the SPA, we explained it to you, it  was occupied by customers, doing massages and we could'nt disturb them. We offered you a later visit, you did not respond to our proposal. So In summary you put us in front of the fait accompli with an arrival of  3 people instead of 2 planned.  We did not force  you to any upgrade. You have been allowed to sleep 3 people in a room provided for two without any extra cost and for that in return  you publicly labeled us as scammers,  a true heig

A lovely oasis in a busy city
This is a lovely Riad at the very north of the old town, and so a good half an hour walk from the main square. The staff cannot do enough for you. The rooftop is a lovely place to be, although at our time of year (New Year) it was a bit chilly in the evening when we wanted to spend some time up there. The Spa looks lovely and clean, although we decided to have our hammam and massage at a baths in town (Les Bains de Marrakech) so that we could do it as a couple and stay together. The alleys are very confusing and fullof bikes and mopeds. But once you learn how to get in and out of the Riad from the northern gate in the wall (bu the parking next to the shell garage) it becomes easier - We actually preferred to walk to and from the hotel by going outside the walls and walking around to "our" gate, rather than navigate the mazy alleys in the dark. Be confident that you're going the right way - Although you will still be told bby many locals that you are either going the wrong way, or that your way is closed. They are just looking to take you there themselves in order to be paid. We pre-arranged a ride to the hotel from the airport, and the taxt company called the hotel when they got near for someone to come out and meet us - You cannot get a taxi all the way to the Riad. All in all a lovely stay in a fascinating city.

Wonderful riad close to all of Marrakech best tourist attractions. Room was comfy, good sized, beautifully furnished and the spa was amazing! Truly a getaway. The best thing of all was the lovely staff that couldn't do more to make us feel more welcomed and comfortable. Anything we needed was addressed with a smile and polite attitude. Food was also nice, try the chicken tagine at the hotel, it's gorgeous!

Beautiful, relaxing Riad with lovely spaces to hang out and get away from the madness of the city. The staff were very helpful and extremely polite. Breakfasts were nice but a little too sweet for me. One drawback was unfortunately the location. I had read reviews beforehand about the location but thought it wouldn't be an issue as we are experienced travellers that enjoy a bit of walking and adventure. However, the roads around the riad are extremely winding and very easy to get lost in, which is a bad combination when many of the locals spot this and try to take advantage by lying to you about roads being closed, then aggressively asking for money. This is not the riad's fault, but definitely something to be aware of, and just means that we were more reliant on taxis than we would have liked to be.

Excellent Riad - lovely staff, good facilities
My wife, (nearly) 3 year old son and I stayed at Riad Omri for four nights. We had a great time, and couldn't recommend the place highly enough. The staff could not have been nicer or more accommodating. The room was comfortable, a decent size and the courtyard, terrace and two small pools - as well as the general layout and design of the hotel - was a welcome break from the frenetic pace of Marrakech. The staff were particularly sweet with our son who they greeted with smiles and hugs every time they saw him, and made sure he was careful around the pools and on the stairs. Really good spa facilities have been built into the basement - I had the hamman, they also have a jacuzzi and massage rooms. Location isn't as central as some Riads - about a twenty minute walk north of the Medina and main square - but we really enjoyed the walk in through the central souqs and the less touristy, community feel of the area immediately surrounding the hotel.
