We had a wonderful stay at Riad Dar Massai. From the moment we arrived, the staff were warm, welcoming, and incredibly helpful. The Riad itself is beautifully decorated, peaceful, and full of charm, a perfect escape from the busy streets of Marrakech. My room was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, and I really appreciated the attention to detail throughout the property. Breakfast was delicious every morning, with fresh ingredients and a lovely setting to enjoy it. The location is ideal, 10 min walk to Jma el Fna but tucked away enough to feel quiet and relaxing. The team were always available to offer recommendations or help arrange anything we needed, which made my stay even more enjoyable. Overall, we had a fantastic experience and would happily return. Highly recommend Riad Dar Massai to anyone visiting Marrakech. Special thanks to Nourdine and Adam for the lovely service provided.

We really enjoyed our stay here, even though it started off a little confusing! We went to the address shown on our booking and ended up at their sister property, Dar Massaï Spa, instead — so there was a bit of a walk with our suitcases to the right riad. Once we got there, though, everything was lovely. The hosts were so friendly and welcoming, and the riad itself is beautifully decorated and very peaceful. The beds were really comfortable, and the breakfast each morning was excellent. It’s a little bit out of the way of the main centre, but once you get your bearings, it’s a great base for exploring Marrakesh. All in all, a great experience with wonderful hosts — just make sure you head to the right Dar Massaï when you arrive!

It's quiet, comfortable and relaxing once you are inside the riad, and the staff is very helpful. If you are arriving by cab, you will most likely be dropped off near the tower of Kasbah Mosque, which is about as close as you can get by car. From there it's about a 5 minutes' walk. A first-time visitor will find it quite challenging, or even impossible, to find their way to the riad; the best option is to pre-arrange with the riad so one of their staff will meet you where you get dropped off and escort you to the place. Or better still, arrange with the riad for pickup at the airport so that the driver is also aware of the end to end logistics and can contact the riad on your behalf if there is any confusion. You will pass through a crowded, chaotic marketplace and some narrow alleys, and even an opening cut into (what seems like) an old city wall, to get to the riad. If you are looking for a quiet, clean and refined neighborhood for your stay in Marrakech then this is not for you. If you like to be right in the middle of a commercial + residential neighborhood in the old city and stay among the local residents, then you are in the right place. Overall, we had a pleasant stay and we never felt unsafe or harassed. A big plus is that you can walk to many of the top sights in the old city from there, and other common attractions are a reasonable cab ride away. Be prepared to negotiate down the cab fare, or you will be overcharged.

The road leading away to the right of this picture takes you through a marketplace of meat and vegetable grocers and food vendors, on your way to the riad.

Here you take the road to the left, and shortly thereafter pass through an opening in an old wall that has "Riad Dar Massai" signage above it.

A bit further along, you have to take this passageway through a building on your left.

The Riad itself is decent. My room with two beds were not big tho. Staff was friendly to help us with our luggages and they are honest. I would recommend this place if you want to experience the traditional Riad setting.

Dreamy Marrekech

Our trip to Marrekech was amazing and Riad Dar Massi made it so. Beautiful Riad, excellent service. Nordine and Adam were very helpful and nice. Nordine always made sure we were safe and walked us to our meeting points when it was before sunrise. Dinner at the Riad was authentic and delicious. Our rooms were lovely and comfortable. Fabulous stay.

First of all, the staff is just the best. The riad itself is just as it looks in the photos. I had the room off the main room and it was quiet. I could hear the rooster and birds chirping and loved it. The bed was comfortable, I had all I needed. Wi-fi was great and they have WINE The staff wants you to feel like a family member in their home and they do just that. The riad's location is safe and easy to get to once they show you how to get there. The taxis are just a five minute walk. I would absolutely stay there again and especially as a single woman guest.

The welcoming of the staff was great there were very helpful and thoughtful. Unfortunately, There was a pool we couldn’t use because it was dirty. The bathroom smelled like pee all the time. It wasn’t a 4 star hotel in my opinion.

Best Hotel Staff I've ever had

The property was beautiful, with an inside pool and roof terrace, as well as being wonderfully decorated. It was also in an excellent location, an easy walk to jamaa el fina but in a relatively quiet part of the medina. Breakfast was simple but tasty and we had dinner there one night and it was probably the best thing we ate in Marrakech. The biggest highlight of the Riad though was undoubtedly the staff, Adam and Nordin going out of their way to make you feel special and valued every day. There was another young lady who worked there too (sorry, I never got her name) who was also very helpful and nice. Couldn't recommend staying with these guys on your next trip to Marrakech more.
