The check in time of 6:00pm was late, but given we were checking out by 2:00am they let us in at 4:00pm so we could get some sleep. "The Sultanhan is in a perfect location to walk to everywhere we wanted to go, yet it is set back off a main street to escape the noise of a bustling city. Our room was very comfortable and clean. The free breakfast on the top floor was awesome and provided wonderful views. We ate there enough days that the staff began to recognize us and on the last day, they surprised my husband with a free omelet (that item was an extra charge on their buffet) which was very nice. What makes this hotel stand out is the front desk staff, particularly Engin. He was so darn helpful and friendly! We wanted to take the ferry over to the Asian side of Istanbul and talked to Engin about how to go about it. He loaned us his ferry card that we could put money on to make the transfer back and forth easier. That was immensely helpful and appreciated! One of our tours was late picking us up and the staff went out of his way to find out what was going on and resolved the issue. Engin also booked a night boat excursion for us. Overall, we were very pleased with our stay and experience with Sultanhan!"
