"The property is rather new so everything is quite clean. The bed was a bit lumpy. The heating was temperamental and shut off in the middle of the night when it was the coldest. They did follow up with me on the second night to assure me they had fixed it, but it still shut off in the middle of the night for the second night in a row. "The challenge was our arrival, nowhere did it say that check in was at the Dragoner Hotel across the road. Once we figured that out we went from: what did we get ourselves into, to a well done up room. The bathroom was a bit cramped but overall for the price we paid we had a very nice room. Consider having dinner at the Dragoner! Good food, good price. "

"Alpenhotel Allgau has a good location in Schwangau, close to the Neuschwanstein Castle, Hohenschwangau Castle, Museum of the Bavarian kings. The rooms were small and the beds were rather hard. The breakfast was a essentially a continental breakfast of rolls and coffee. The signage is poor and the entrance is hard to spot. Check in was easy but checkout was difficult because their credit card processing machine didn't work and had to be re-started.I wouldn't stay there again but rather will plan...
