There’s a nice outdoor hot tub and pool, washer / dryer ($2 wash, $2.50 dry)—the front desk can exchange cash for quarters. We stayed here while doing Yosemite NP, it’s a bit of a drive (~1 hour) but not bad at all. "

"The Mariposa Lodge is quiet, safe, and has friendly and helpful staff. It is on the edge of a very, very small downtown area. The town population is only about 1500 people as far as I can estimate. So if you are expecting lots of fancy shopping and restaurants, you are not in the right place. But if you want to stay in a quaint, outdoorsy place with about 20 small shops and restaurants on the way to the West gate of Yosemite, then this is the place for you and your
